Stir Fried Broccoli and Beef

? 3 Tbsp soy sauce
? 3 Tbsp sake
? 3 cloves garlic, minced
? 1 1/2 Tbsp grated fresh ginger
? 2/3 tsp Chinese five spice powder
? 1 1/2 lb skirt steak, cut into 1 inch strips and halved
? 4 Tbsp coconut oil
? 1 1/2 cup diced onion
? 6 cups broccoli florets
? 2/3 cup sliced scallions
- Combine the garlic, ginger, five spice, soy sauce, and sake in a bowl. Toss in the steak strips to coat. Cover and chill for half an hour to marinate.
- Place a wok or skillet over medium high flame and heat the coconut oil. Stir fry the onion until translucent, then add the beef and marinade and stir-fry for 5 minutes.
- Stir in the scallions and broccoli for 2 minutes, then cover and set heat to medium low. Let simmer for 3 minutes to tenderize the broccoli.
- Mix well then serve.
