Smoked Trout Pate with Cucumber

         6 oz smoked trout, skinned and de-boned

         3 Tbsp freshly squeezed lemon juice

         3 Tbsp grated onion

         5 oz cream cheese

         3/4 tsp freshly ground black pepper

         3/4 tsp Worcestershire sauce, sugar free

         2 small cucumbers, sliced into 30 rounds


         Chopped chives, as garnish



  • Combine the smoked trout, lemon juice, grated onion, cream cheese, black pepper, and Worcestershire sauce in a blender a food processor. Process until smooth.
  • Add Tabasco sauce to taste, and more lemon juice, if needed. Process to combine.
  • Arrange the cucumber slices on a platter, then spoon the trout pate on top of each slice. Top with chopped chives, then serve.
